Goal

I want to get new safety patrol belts into the hands of as many 5th-grade students as possible!

Category

School-Wide, Grade-Level, Or Class Events/Programs - Parent Nights, Honor Roll Celebrations, EOY Events, etc.

What will be done with my students

At Veterans Memorial Elementary School, fifth graders have an exciting opportunity to join the safety patrol team. As members of the safety patrol, students take on important responsibilities like assisting with car doors during drop-off and pick-up times, supervising peers during morning and afternoon periods, and setting a positive example for others on campus.

Over time, the belts worn by the safety patrols begin to show signs of wear and tear, becoming soiled and frayed as they are handed down from one student to the next. By securing funding through a grant, we can ensure that each safety patrol member receives a new, clean belt, allowing them to carry out their duties with pride and professionalism.

Benefits to my students

We need to ensure our safety patrol members have the resources they need to carry out their duties effectively. Funding will provide each member with a new, clean belt, enabling them to perform their duties with pride and professionalism.
