What will be done with my students

The students during art class will learn the components of a piece of a collaborative art installation. They will discuss the subject, composition and content and learn the story behind the project. In addition, they will learn how to draw the human eye using value and shading techniques. The students will learn and be involved with all the decisions and process of designing, creating, and the installation of the art. This installation project will be in the office area. In addition, students will be encouraged to gift the art piece to a favorite teacher to be installed in their classroom in hopes of inspiring others to gift to create a collaborative art installation.

Benefits to my students

Community Art installations are a form of Communication in the way of storytelling. Art projects come and go. Art installations are here to stay. They are a legacy, a means for students, staff, and stakeholders to communicate from generation to generation. Art installations are an artistic dialogue serving to provoke and inspire present and future student populations speaking to school bodies.

Budget Narrative

The supplies will be purchased from Art Supplies. I know that this project will inspire narratives between student, facility, and community leaders. We have all the materials necessary to do this project except for the wood material planks. Thank You for your consideration.
Due to the cost-I will try to source a community member to cut lumber to provide the planks.
