What will be done with my students

The students in the G.A.T.E. (Grater Achievement Through Empowerment) Transition program often receive job training in the Florida heat! As an added protection we would like to use air conditioning bands to provide an extra level of comfort and safety! We will also use the hydration backpacks so water is always at their fingertips.

Benefits to my students

During gardening, washing golf carts, policing the grounds, or any activity outside, our students will be cooler and more comfortable in this Florida heat! Also, it will be easier for them to always have water with them without having to stop what they are doing or trying to carry with them. Instead, it will be right on their backs or around their necks!

Budget Narrative

Although we have 40 students, there will never be over 10 students at one time needing the equipment.
