What will be done with my students
Students will have the option of stability cushions, wobble cushions or lap desks. They may choose to move around the classroom or remain more comfortably in their seats depending on their personal preference.
Benefits to my students
It is difficult for 2nd graders to sit in hard chairs all day. Giving them the ability to move around or wiggle in their seats in a non-disruptive way allows them to focus better on the lesson for an improved learning environment and engagement. In addition, the lap desks encourage partner and small group work as well as providing an improved experience for those that prefer working on the carpet.
