To be able to print materials in color to support using the Zones of Regulation curriculum/terminology with students with special needs. The Zones of Regulation is a cognitive behavior therapy approach that uses four colors (blue, green, yellow, and red) to categorize feelings, energy, and alertness to help people regulate their emotions.
Electronics - Personal computers/tablets/iPads, headphones, charging cables, computer mice, etc.
I will use this printer to print materials in color for students with special needs. The Zones of Regulation is a curriculum that CCPS is using to support the development of self-regulation skills for students in grades K-5. The curriculum is focused on identifying emotions, sorting emotions into four color zones (blue, green, yellow, and red), and identifying tools to manage your emotions in each zone.
This will be beneficial to my students as this curriculum is color-oriented and access to color printers/cartridges is limited in the schools. Many students are visual learners and will benefit from the materials being printed in color; content can be missed when you only have access to printing in black and white.
A color printer, color print cartridges, and cardstock are greatly needed for students to fully benefit from the learning materials and tools that are part of Zones of Regulation Program.
The $547.77 will be used to purchase the color printer, color print cartridges, and cardstock, including taxes and shipping costs.
