The acquisition of these supplies and equipment will significantly enhance my ability to deliver personalized and effective occupational therapy services.

To improve fine motor and social skills to further enhance student's abilities to access their school environment and increase functional independence.

What will be done with my students

Students will participate in various projects during their skilled Occupational Therapy sessions. These projects will be used to make progress towards their goals which have been created for their Individual Education Plan. Projects will be completed in a one-on-one setting as well as group settings. The planning tools and laminator can be used on a daily basis in a variety of topics whether it be for social stories, visual calendars, reward charts, handwriting and visual motor activities.  

 

Benefits to my students

Improved fine motor skills which will increase their ability to independently participate in classroom tasks of writing and typing along with independent functioning by being able to manage fasteners. Social interactions during groups will improve the student's abilities to appropriately interact with fellow students and peers.  

 

Budget Narrative

Tools for learning will include supplies for projects related to the student's individual needs. Adaptive tools such as specialized scissors and pencils to meet the needs of the student's capabilities. The laminator will be used in conjunction with the planning tools as the laminator will enable the creation of durable, waterproof, and reusable therapy materials, such as visual aids, instructional charts, and customized activity sheets.
