Goal

Students will develop language skills, regulate emotions and cooperate effectively with friends while fostering academic success.

Category

Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.

What will be done with my students

My students will have time each day to have open-ended, unstructured play using playsets and people with their classmates. This will help them to build their language and learn how to deal with conflicts with their peers. They will anticipate their friends' emotions and regulate their own. They will practice taking turns and sharing in a loving, supervised environment. Teachers will help guide play in a productive way and supply words if needed.

Benefits to my students

My students will grow into caring, loving people who can get along well with their peers and use their words to express their feelings. These toys will last for years so it will help hundreds of children become productive adults.

Budget Narrative

This money will be used to purchase playsets and people for imaginative play.
