Goal

My goal is for my students to observe and have a deep understanding of how ants work together as a community to survive.

What will be done with my students

Students will observe AntWorks Illuminated habitat which provides an excellent visibility so the students can see ant antics up close! They will deeper understand more about how Harvester ants create a community and how they live together in their habitat. Students will keep journals of the ant progress.

Benefits to my students

This project will greatly benefit my students in helping them deeper understand the animal world. This project will also focus on the science standards taught in 3rd grade.

Budget Narrative

I attended the grant writing class and learned how easy the grant writing process can be! I am so excited that all 3rd grade students at Pelican Marsh will be able to observe the ants at work.
