Goal
To supplement our music lessons with this fun and effective interactive technology. Quaver's videos, games and quizzes are very engaging and are standards-based so they work seamlessly with our curriculum.
What will be done with my students
Quaver's short and highly entertaining video clips reinforce music concepts that we teach in class. Students will be able to explore Quaver's virtual world to learn more about music theory, instruments, ensembles, composers, music history and musical styles. The material will be used throughout the year at all grade levels. (This grant applies to Golden Gate Elementary - primary and intermediate campuses)
Benefits to my students
Quaver's Marvelous World of Music is a fantastic tool for reinforcing what we teach in elementary Music. The series is extremely engaging and utilizes videos and a virtual world that appeals to today's learners. This will increase our students' ability to retain critical information. There are materials that are applicable to all grade levels (K-5) so every student at GGE will benefit. The lessons are all based on our music standards and there are quizzes to address the content.
