Goal

The goal of this grant is to provide students with digital scales to be used in science labs throughout the school year. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will use the digital scales to conduct a variety of science investigations in class labs and in preparation for science fair. Through these hands-on science inquiry approach, the digital scales are utilized by students to collect data to be analyzed and therefore yield the best results.  

 

Benefits to my students

With access to this science tool [digital scale], students will be able to collect more accurate data in a more efficient way than our current use of balance scales and gram weights. Students will learn to use a piece of equipment that will assist them in utilizing their time for the science activities more efficiently leading to more accurate measurements and results. Students throughout the grade level will be able to utilize these scales.
