Goal

The goal of this grant is to teach an engaging and hands on science experiment to kindergartners.

What will be done with my students

Students will use the digital probe to measure the temperature of different items. They will inset the Vernier temperature probe into different things like ice water, an apple, and even the palm of their hand. Students will observe the digital screen and determine if the temperature on the thermometer is going up or down. Students will record the items and the temperature in their science notebooks.

Benefits to my students

Students will benefit by learning and mastering grade level science content. They will experience a hands on experiment and use science tools. Also, students will work together to collect and record data and information. Using these temperature probes will heighten student engagement.

Budget Narrative

Will share 2 Vernier temperature probes among 6 kindergarten classes. All kindergartners will experience the probes.
