Goal

The goal of this grant is to reduce distractions and provide privacy for students throughout the school.  

 

What will be done with my students

Students will utilize privacy shields throughout the year. These privacy shields will keep their work and their ideas private, while removing distractions that might occur in the classroom. Students may request a shield in order to help them focus on a particular task. They will also be utilized when an assessment is being administered. 

 

Benefits to my students

In order for students to do their very best work, many students in classrooms need to reduce and eliminate distractions during the day. By using a “privacy shield” students are not sidetracked by others or their behaviors. These shields are easily placed on the student’s desk allowing them to take action to become the best that they can be. With the availability of “privacy shields,” students actually learn to be self-advocates for their own needs to learn efficiently. The biggest benefit will be that students will become more responsible for their learning, which is a skill all children need in order to succeed in life.  

 

Budget Narrative

These 24 privacy shields will be used throughout Calusa Park Elementary for many years. Thank you for considering my grant and supporting our school.
