Goal

The Osmo Creative Set and base combines creative tools, games and cutting edge technology to foster creativity and problem solving skills. I want to use this new set in my Media Center Makerspaces. 

 

What will be done with my students

The media center currently has 2 OSMO systems. The new Creative set along with an additional OSMO base will give additional students access to unique activities simultaneously.

The systems are set up in the media center's Makerspaces. Makerspaces are areas that allow students to learn creatively, collaboratively and independently through exploration.

The Monster Creative set brings a student's drawings to life! Each item they draw for Mo (our monster) will be magically pulled into his world. Together they can create animated activities to share with family and friends.

 

 

Benefits to my students

Osmo Curriculums are available for free for educators. They can download the Teacher’s Guide and choose from over 60 lesson plans, hand-crafted for Osmo. So there is always something new! The Osmo is a tool that can be used over and over again for years to come, so this grant will benefit much more than 200 students.

Osmo’s groundbreaking system fosters social intelligence and creative thinking by opening up the iPad to the endless possibilities of student learning and collaboration.

Two current apps that we already have, Masterpiece, and Newton, are optimized using the board that is included in this set. The extra base will allow even more students to benefit. 

 

Budget Narrative

The Creative Set contains the unique Creative Board, 6 Yoobi erasable washable markers, and a fuzzy pouch. It also includes the Creative Monster app.
