Goal
The students at my school are from +/- 95% free/reduced lunch population. The home language is not English. My goal is to always expose ALL students to STEM, which will allow all students a chance at a successful future. Most if not all future jobs will be STEM related. If we can get the students excited about learning and engaging in STEM, we will have a well prepared group of students to be our future.
What will be done with my students
The students will use this award winning program to code their way through various activities. They can work on math, spelling, puzzles, tangrams, music and even draw. This is a well rounded program that will engage students with a variety of interests. The more engaged they are the more they learn.
Benefits to my students
Students will be engaged while coding. It will give them a hands on opportunity to manipulate and code. Regardless of interest, there is something for ALL. They can jam and make music, they can make a pizza and work on math. They can create words and math facts. They can work through puzzles, and code their way through adventures. They can even put their drawings into the game.
