Goal

My goal is to replace an aging rug utilized by the students in music class. I hope to replace it with a similar rug that is both large enough and representative of a music classroom.

What will be done with my students

Most of our musical activities take place on the rug. Students are assigned a musical symbol to serve as a seating location. The students will be able to study the keys pattern of a piano or keyboard instrument. Students will be able to play musical games that include a treble clef staff with lines and spaces as well as dynamics and form.

Benefits to my students

Every student that comes in contact with the music rug will have a resource to help re-enforce their knowledge and understanding of the symbols we use in music. It will help to develop a working knowledge of the language of music. This rug will be the centerpiece of music class due to it's size and colors.
