Goal
To design a prototype raised bed Biblical garden on the campus of FBA.
To submit a proposal for students to install a similar Biblical garden at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC.
What will be done with my students
Students will Research ,Plan , Propagate and Plant a school raised bed garden to showcase plants found in the Bible. Students will present the value and purposes for each plant in Biblical times and for today.
Benefits to my students
To provide a hands-on experience to inform students of the variety of biblical flora and fauna; to help students understand the conditions needed to grow the plants in SW FL, and to learn about different uses and purposes of plants . To observe the beauty of God's creation ; to study and document the growth and development of plants found in the Bible. To create an original illustrated Botanical Journal of the biblical plants .To expand STEAM vocabulary. To increase a global awareness of biblical plants - providing visibility in a leading Bible Museum in downtown Washington DC.
