Goal

My goal this year is to give my teachers one planning day a month in which I will take over their classes inside the Media Center to teach a heavily tested standard on the SSA.  

 

What will be done with my students

Students will be actively engaged and working in stations that last eight minutes each. Each station will have the use of technology, reading and writing and interactive notebooking. The use of our new resource Amplify for gifted students offers numerous amounts of articles that relate to what is being taught. Printing off colored cards for matching activities, colored copies of articles to entice reading and printing colored graphs for students working on Science Fair would create the want for learning we strive for.  

 

Benefits to my students

Students will benefit by raising the level of engagement of students and providing quality instruction and lessons for our students. Building the station activities will be provided to the eighth grade teachers who have a lot of pressure to review sixth, seventh and eighth grade curriculum over the course of three weeks.  

 

Budget Narrative

The color printer will be a one time expense and the refills of black and colored toners will be replenished by me over the following years through my teacher lead money given by the District.
