Goal
Requesting $1,000 of the required $1,334.45 cost of obtaining stands for the xylophones our students use during music class.
What will be done with my students
Xylophones are used throughout the school year and are completely integrated into the music lessons I teach. Not only do they learn proper technique, but they learn about steady beat, notated rhythms and melodies, improvisation, and even get to perform music composed by their classmates!
Benefits to my students
Currently, our xylophones are on the floor making it an uncomfortable experience especially for our older and larger students. Obtaining these xylophone stands will enable our students to stand or sit in chairs while they play. Instead of focusing on their discomfort, they will be able to focus better on learning music! This will impact every single student at Emma Love Hardee Elementary which has a population of approximately 625 students.
Budget Narrative
This amount will let us obtain 9 of the 12 stands that are needed. The total amount of $944.80 does not include shipping costs which is estimated at $98.85.
