Goal
The cycling devices will assist students who are diagnosed with ADHD and other attention deficit disorders maintain focus and stay alert by reducing the urge to fidget and move. This in turn will reduce noise and disruption in the classroom resulting in increased academic success.
What will be done with my students
Each student will be provided with an under desk cycler. Students will be encouraged to cycle at all times regardless of the activity being conducted in the room.
Benefits to my students
Studies show the cycling in classrooms have the following results:
* reduced noise
* reduced movement
* less disruption
* increased productivity
* increased blood flow
* increased oxygen supply
It is expected that we will see increased participation and academic success.
Budget Narrative
The pedal set quoted is the least expensive on the market. They are mobile and can be moved around the room and from room to room if needed.
