Investor
Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
St. Joe Community Foundation - $299.00
Goal
The goal with this iPad is to use it in tandem with the technology that we have in our lab in order for students to see data from their labs in real time on the Cleartouch board in the classroom.
What will be done with my students
I will use the apps that are available on the iPad in tandem with the technology in our classroom (voltmeter, pH meter, digitial thermometers, etc..) to let students make precise measurements and see live changes that are happening in the data.
Benefits to my students
Students will be able to more accurately measure the results of their experiments to improve their data tables and understanding of the chemical concepts that we are studying. The applications on the iPad will be able to be streamed to the Cleartouch board at the front of the room, where students will be able to see quantitative results from the chemical reactions that we are performing. This will engage them with the concepts and help cement the knowledge in their mind by being able to interact with their results and see how they are affected by changing conditions. Students will also be able to see virtual demonstrations of labs that can be streamed from the iPad to the Cleartouch board to simulate labs that we do not have the equipment for.
