Investor
Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
PTA Equity Partnership & Hillsborough Education Foundation - $678.00
Goal
My goal is for my students to increase their knowledge of reading comprehension while engaging in science content. 100% of my students are below level and live in extreme poverty and are English Language learners.
What will be done with my students
This year we have implemented a new reading series that focuses on science. Right now, our class lacks the texts to research and learn more about schools, fossils, plants, weather, and life cycles. It would be a great benefit to give them the text and the hands on experiences so they can develop oral language. This grant will engage all students and help develop oral language, reading comprehension, and science content.
Benefits to my students
My goal is for 100% of my students to show growth on I-Ready in reading comprehension and vocabulary assessment.
100% will show growth on their end of year science assessment. 100% of students scored 30% or below on the beginning of year assessment.
Budget Narrative
This grant would provide reading materials and hands on science activities to enhance their comprehension and vocabulary. This grant will provide hands on learning for many years and future students that attend our school.
