Investor
Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Ray Harman, in honor of Karen Harman - $211.80
Goal
I am looking to put dictionaries and thesaurus into the hands of each of my students to encourage self-advocacy and provide the tools they need to learn.
What will be done with my students
They will at any time be able to look up words for meaning or spelling in order to encourage correct grammar and proper usage of the word. It will also help them to learn how to look up information in a text. This will unlock a world of possibilities by allowing them to be able to use words in context and provide much needed spelling support.
By having a physical copy in hand, it also allows them to be able to utilize the resource while still in the document that they are learning.
Benefits to my students
So many times, they are asking how to spell a word or what that word means. Giving them the means to be self-advocates of their own learning and providing the tools needed is crucial for them to be life-long readers.
Budget Narrative
The price is for a class set of each book ( 25 copies of each)
