Investor
Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
The Michael J. Searcy Family - $720.00
Goal
My goal is to provide each of my students with a tub of their own math manipulatives to increase their understanding in math.
What will be done with my students
My students will each have their own tub with individual math manipulatives needed for learning. Base ten blocks help our students understand place value and decimals, fraction manipulatives will help our students understand how to break a whole number in equal parts, to assist us in understanding arrays and multiplication we use square tiles and centimeter paper, and protractors to learn about angles.
If we need to go virtual at any time, students will be able to take their tubs home so learning can continue as it was in the classroom.
Benefits to my students
By having hands on manipulatives my student's understanding in math will greatly increase. Manipulatives help us reach students that need to see, hear, and touch to learn. The kids will get to see how math is working before they try to solve the problems with paper and pencil.
Budget Narrative
This grant will provide our entire class with the necessary manipulatives to learn and master fourth grade math.
