Goal
The VersaTiles are a tool that will be reused for years and students will have an opportunity to reinforce skills taught in their reading block on their own.
What will be done with my students
These VersaTile tools benefit students because it allows for hands on practice of reading skills for our diverse learners. The teacher will be able to differentiate the practice skills for each student based on data collected. Differentiated sets will allow for remediation as well as enrichment and will be permanently integrated into classroom rotations. These will be utilized as soon as they arrive on campus by 29 teachers and over 600 students.
Benefits to my students
Students will gain confidence in reading from the extended practice VersaTiles offer, and close any reading deficiency gaps that have been identified. Additionally, students will perform on level on classroom and district assessments. The number of students impacted by this resource will be immeasurable as it will be a gift that keeps on giving to students learning.
Budget Narrative
This grant will be for 3 Kindergarten kits, 1 Grades 1 - 6 Literacy kit, 5 answer case kits of 8 sets each, and 2 answer cases. These resources can be found at: https://www.hand2mind.com/category/literacy/versatiles/3286
