Goal

Each student will have an individual kit for Brainspring during reading intervention.

What will be done with my students

Last year, HCPS introduced a new Reading intervention program. It's multisensory with an Ortho-Gillingham approach to Phonics instruction. However, the kits provided by the county had shared material. We used our current material, our money, and outside funds to create kits for the majority of the students in the 3-5 VE program. We are currently short 18 kits.

Benefits to my students

Each student will be able to interact during their reading intervention time without worry of handling shared materials. By the end of the school year, each student will have demonstrated growth in their ability to read on grade level.

Budget Narrative

The grant is 400.05. It will enable us to make individual kits for reading interventions.
