Goal
My goal is to be able to purchase a classroom set of DECA Blazers and professional wear.
What will be done with my students
This will benefit the students when we have the opportunity to go to DECA competitions, whether it be in person or virtual. The students are still required to wear professional attire. Many of our students have to borrow the clothing from others or go out and buy it. These families can't always afford to do that so they end up not competing.
Our program is co-curricular, meaning that DECA is part of our curriculum. DECA is a CTSO for any that don't know, which is a Career, Technical and Student organization.
Benefits to my students
The requested blazers/professional wear would help the student's self confidence when competing. It would also feel like a more even playing field when they are dressed like everyone else.
