Goal

To provide a sense of community and belonging within our student body. Students learn better when they feel connected to their friends and a larger school community. We want all students to feel welcomed and safe at North Naples Middle School 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will:
-Provide school tours to incoming new students.
-Reach out to students who appear isolated or alone at morning/lunch period
-Attend regular meetings to help facilitate and brainstorm other ways to reach more students who may need peer support/friendship
-Participate in chalk art, board games, card games and other social activities that promote a sense of belonging and "feel good" vibes
 

 

Benefits to my students

The students will be able to:
Make connections with peers they otherwise may not interact with
Create a positive social atmosphere on our campus
Have a safe haven to go without fear or rejection 

 

Budget Narrative

I plan to have pizza 2x/month during our lunch meetings
I plan to order t-shirts for all We Dine Members ($8-10/shirt) to promote unity
During our lunch meetings, students like to gather and play board games ($15-20/each)
Craft supplies for spreading cheer/happiness around our campus
