Goal
To help students learn to self-calm using healthy alternatives.
What will be done with my students
My students will use exercise to calm their minds and excerpt extra energy. We work hard to develop skills that will allow students with behavioral and emotional disorders find positive ways to calm their body and minds this will give them extra tools to continue and develop new ways. We work on social emotional learning every day and this will add a layer to our lessons.
Benefits to my students
Students will find better ways to express their emotions and find fun new ways to exercise their mind and body! There will be up to 10 students using these mats and exercise activities. I an hoping for these students to learn some effective strategies that will allow them to transition back to a traditional school and maybe even teach these strategies to family members and friends.
