Goal
My goal is to ensure the students know the keys on the keyboard. This will help them with their typing skills.
What will be done with my students
Students have carpet time, and this carpet will literally be a keyboard. It has bright colors to get their attention and they will naturally be aware of the keyboard. It can even be turned into a life size keyboard to practice and play games with for them to learn keys on the keyboard. These connections will help them with their typing.
Benefits to my students
Students are expected to master typing when they leave elementary school. Having this rug can be a fun and engaging way to teach them the keys of the keyboard. With a life size vibrantly colored rug, they can visualize and play with the keys and then apply it to their typing practice.
