Goal
Franklin Boys Preparatory is in need of funding to support our annual IXL math subscription.
IXL, is a targeted learning tool. It offers students the ability to practice math skills that are individualized to meet the needs of the student. IXL provides reports to help support teaching and learning with a very focused outcome.
What will be done with my students
Students are engaged when using IXL. Immediate feedback and accountability is built into IXL, which provides a perfect platform to build proficiency. Parents are able to support students using IXL at home because step by step explanations are included for every skill. The best part of IXL is that it provides instant practice opportunities for students to efficiently practice current math topics, previous math misconceptions and also for those students interested in advancing to future math topics.
Benefits to my students
This year, IXL will be more important than ever because students have experienced learning gaps due to the changes in educational delivery resulting from COVID 19. IXL will provide the opportunity to practice and fill those gaps with proficiency required to achieve mastery of current concepts.
Budget Narrative
The IXL site license for up to 350 students is $2975. If grant funding is received, our school will pay the remaining balance of $975.
