Goal

The goal for this project is to enhance the learning of students in my 4th-grade classroom, by giving them access to very short standards-aligned movies, quizzes, games, and activities covering Science, Reading & Writing, Math, Health, Social Studies, and Arts & Technology. 

 

What will be done with my students

The online program Brainpop can be used across the different subject areas, as it has content throughout any subject. This is a program that can be used whole group, or the students can independently access the content on the classroom computers or iPads, In school and at home. Students can watch a brief, engaging video on a topic, and take a quiz immediately afterwards. The quizzes are also differentiated with two different levels. For each video topic, there are extension activities that could be completed: graphic organizers, discussion questions, writing assignments, vocabulary options, and even games.  

 

Benefits to my students

This program will benefit 25 students. Every video listed on this program is animated in kid-friendly language, with engaging graphics. Best of all, the videos are less than 5-minutes long so are very direct with the content that is to be taught.

This budget is for one year subscription for $230.00.
