Goal
My goal is to have the resources and flexible seating during our skills block so that students will learn how to read. Foundational skills is so important for my students.
What will be done with my students
Most of my students are ELL and live in poverty. They usually are about a year or two below level. I would like to have flexible seating and skills block rotation stations for my students. I will work with a small group and students will be at specific stations working on the skills that they need to help them grow and develop as readers. My goal is to have all my students make at least one year of reading growth.
Benefits to my students
My students will develop a love for reading. They will expand their vocabulary and writing skills. They will most importantly learn the skills to help them decode and read. The goal is to have 100% of my students make a years growth in reading.
