Goal
In this activity, students explore game design and engineering by creating their own cardboard arcade games.
What will be done with my students
Students will be able to:
1. ask questions and define problems 2. plan and carry out investigations. 3. construct project, and design solutions. With health and safety concerns cardboard and other materials will be purposed and not brought from home. A list of project materials will be provided before lesson starts. Before the students make their presentations in a open house ,they will review the game rubric checklist and rules of their game.
Benefits to my students
The expectations will be that students can incorporate math, problem solving, and working with other students ideas and design. the 450 students may increase when the excitement of this project takes off. I will be working with the science teacher and technology teacher. these outcomes will be shared out our open house with the students presentations.
Budget Narrative
This grant will help the current budget giving me too provided this opportunity. In my classroom it is inclusive, and with the stress now on family's budget. Coming back to in person school this will aid the students in need.
