What will be done with my students
Given a specific engineering challenge; students will use their prior knowledge, teamwork, creativity, and ingenuity to plan, build, revise, and test their VEX Go robot given specific parameters to complete a given task. My students will use the VEX Go robotic kits to develop and practice their fine motor skills through hands-on kinesthetic learning.
Benefits to my students
Students will learn how to work in productive teams through assigned lessons and activities. Students will learn how to follow instructions and develop creativity skills. Students will experience how to think logically and learn how to problem solve using several different methods such as reverse-engineering, mathematical coding, and science applications.
Budget Narrative
VEX GO is a STEM construction system for 3rd - 6th grade students. GO kits contain all parts, motors and electronics needed to bring STEM to life! The GO Kit with Storage is pre-sorted into a convenient re-usable carrying case. This keeps all the parts organized and easily accessible. Includes lessons
that can be utilized in sequential order to create unique, extended learning experiences. STEM Labs promote collaboration and exploratory learning.
