Goal

My goal with this grant is to keep students engaged in all subjects including ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science through digital learning year round. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will have the opportunity to participate in lessons that are engaging and innovating. Students will have opportunities to engage with their peers and increase their learning with benchmarks related to second grade curriculum. Flocabulary and Nearpod has lessons that can be used throughout the entire school year. 

 

Benefits to my students

Students can interact in real time with their peers throughout the lesson while receiving immediate feedback on their work and participation. These lessons create a more in depth understanding of curriculum. Students with disabilities can complete the lessons at their own pace and as often as needed. These programs will be used for all second grade students in my class including students with disabilities and English language learning students. 

 

Budget Narrative

The cost of the Nearpod Subscription is $349 a year and the cost of Flocabulary is $120 a year. These memberships will benefit my second grade students in all subjects. The platinum level in Nearpod offers more tools and options teachers can utilize in the classroom to create innovating lessons.
