Goal

The goal of this project is to engage students in real world problem solving skills and cooperative learning for math and science through the use of the Breakout EDU boxes and online challenges.

What will be done with my students

This project will benefit 5th grade students at Kingswood Elementary through increased engagement while learning math and science. I would love to have a Breakout EDU kit for five groups. I have two boxes and have used them whole class last year and my students begged to use them in lessons again and again. These Breakout EDU boxes encourage students to come to class, highly engage students in learning, and provide real world problem solving situations. Students learn to work together and learn math and science at the same time.

Benefits to my students

These Breakout EDU boxes will be used for math and science instruction this year and for years to come. They will benefit many students. Through the increased engagement and problem solving, students will learn fifth grade math and science standards and increase their growth as students.
