Goal
Students with behavioral and social-emotional needs will have an opportunity to have sensory breaks during the school day to help refocus their attention on positive outcomes.
What will be done with my students
The Sensory Room will contain a variety of support materials * fidgets, bean bags, putty) to help students manage their emotions during the school day. The students will have a cool-down spot to reflect upon their actions and create positive outcomes during the school day. During their time in the Sensory Room, the students will work on their social-emotional development.
Benefits to my students
The students will develop strategies to manage their emotions during the school day.
