Goal

To give the Entrepreneurship students an opportunity to learn how to network with local business professionals while in a business setting; while also providing a thank you to mentors who have supported the students in our Entrepreneurship classes.

What will be done with my students

Students will attend a dinner where they will have to dress up and interact with businessmen and businesswomen. At this event, students will learn networking and employability skills. Students will also be given the opportunity to speak in front of adults and peers by giving elevator pitches on their ideas and companies that they created during the class.

Benefits to my students

This would be a unique opportunity for students to have interaction with many individuals that they normally would not have the chance to network with. It would be an excellent work-based learning opportunity that would allow the students to put the skills, learned in class, to real use while also gaining feedback before entering the real world.

Budget Narrative

I will rent a room at Greenlinks at Lely Resort and have the dinner catered for 40 people 30 students and 10 adults.
