Goal

The goal of this project is to enhance the learning of students in my 2nd grade classroom, by giving them access to very short standards-aligned video clips, brief assessments, and interactive games that cover all subject areas and current topics we will learn about throughout the year.

 

 

What will be done with my students

BrainpopJr. is an online program that can be used in all K-2 subject areas. BrainpopJr. can be used with an entire class, or my students can independently access the content on their laptops, iPads, and home computers. Students are then able to watch short, engaging videos on a wide range of academic topics. Once a student completes the short video, they can access the brief quiz. All of the quizzes are differentiated into two levels, easy or hard. There are fun and engaging extension activities, as well as brief assignments that all students can access at school and home. Students can also use the BrainpopJr. online program to research topics and find information that interests them and to reinforce subjects and skills that they work on in class each day. 

 

Benefits to my students

This program will benefit 20 students. All of the short videos in this program are engaging and entertaining. They capture the students’ interest and they are fun to watch! The best part is that each video is shorter than 5-minutes. As a result, they keep all students engaged and they make learning fun.

This budget is for one year subscription for $175.00.
