To expose children to the game of chess and promote a life long love of the game.
What will be done with my students
Students will be invited to media center during lunches to participate in chess games and tournaments
Benefits to my students
The game of chess has shown to improve concentration and memory, enhances reading and math skills, fosters logic, critical thinking, and creativity and encourages and rewards hard work.
Budget Narrative
Would like 10 chess boards for students to be able to use during the lunch time periods.
