Goal

My goal is to help my students visualize math through the use of a document camera, visual vocabulary cards, and dry erase markers. Students will be able to stay focused on math during small group with the help of wobble stools.

What will be done with my students

My students will get to see math in real time with a document camera. It will project math on the board as I am solving a problem. Another way to incorporate a document camera is to display student work on the board. This allows students to see multiple ways to solve a problem. The vocabulary cards will be displayed for students to reference as needed. The dry erase markers will be used for students to work out and display math problems. Students will sit in the wobble stools during small group which will help with concentration.

Benefits to my students

My students will benefit by being able to see math problems being solved in real time. They will also benefit from seeing ways their peers have solved math problems. The vocabulary cards are beneficial in building a strong math vocabulary. The dry erase markers will help students practice math daily. The wobble stools will allow students to concentrate while working on math problems.

Budget Narrative

I would like to purchase (1) document camera, (1) bundle of visual math vocabulary cards, (2) 52 packs of dry erase markers, and (6) wobble stools. The document camera will be used to display work on the ClearTouch Board. The vocabulary cards will be displayed for students to reference. The dry erase markers will be used by students to solve math problems. The wobble stools will be used during small group to keep students engaged and focused.
