Goal
To improve phonological awareness skills in emerging readers.
What will be done with my students
Many kindergarten and first grade students at Cleveland are struggling with phonological awareness pre-reading skills. Using this program will improve the skills necessary for students to manipulate and engage with sounds and words. This will then help them reach grade-level standards by the end of the school year.
Benefits to my students
1. Improve segmenting and blending at syllabic and phonemic levels
2. Helps develop auditory processing
3. Gives students the foundation to begin decoding and encoding words
4. Improves overall reading ability and reading readiness
Budget Narrative
We would like to order 3 Phonological Awareness Lessons from 95% Group. Each kit cost $390. The shipping cost is $117. These kits will be used by 3 different teachers in our building.
