Goal

The goal of this project is to provide a quality sound system for music instruction and ensemble performances at Buckhorn Elementary School. We currently have a system that is pieced together with some working parts and some non working parts which often causes interruption during instruction because we have to trouble shoot sound issues. Due to the size of our music classroom we would really benefit from a system that provides more sound with a better sound quality. This system would also provide sound for school performances and concerts that will benefit families of our students and community members.  

 

What will be done with my students

This project will provide a sound system for the music classroom that will be used immediately and every single day for music instruction. Listening to and moving to music is a large part of our curriculum in all grade levels - having a sound system that provides enough volume for students to hear well will greatly improve our level of instruction every single day!  

 

Benefits to my students

This project will benefit every single student/class at Buckhorn Elementary in their weekly music instruction. In addition, it will also benefit our performance ensembles during yearly performances and community school-wide outreach opportunities. The system that I am requesting has everything our school needs to handle regular music instruction as well as performances for families and community members.  

 

Budget Narrative

PA System - This is a portable all-in-one PA system. It includes inputs for 4 microphones, two additional instruments and has built-in Bluetooth wireless connectivity for music streaming. It also includes a built-in wireless receiver with a wireless microphone.

Speaker Stands - puts your speakers where they're designed to perform their best - at head level.
