Goal

We would like to challenge our students to use critical thinking skills and effectively communicate with each other in a fun and interactive way. 

 

What will be done with my students

Breakout EDU boxes allow teachers to use preexisting lessons, or create new mysteries to solve, in all subject areas. Students, in small groups, will be challenged with trying to solve a variety of clues that will unlock a series of locks attached to a box. Inside will reveal the mystery they have worked so hard to solve. This activity usually ranges from about 15-30 minutes and can be the introduction to a lesson to add excitement to a learning goal or can be the culmination of a lesson to test their knowledge of what was learned.  

 

Benefits to my students

The benefit of this breakout box and digital platform will allow students to feel a sense of community as the mystery is revealed, an awareness of the importance of group communication, the value of each team member's role in a group, the critical thinking skills needed to solve clues and eliminate incorrect theories, and a love and excitement for learning.

This purchase includes a 12-month subscription to the Breakout EDU Platform and a Breakout EDU Kit which includes the Expansion Pack.
