Goal
My goal is to help all students in second grade become life long readers and that reading is for both learning and enjoyment. Reading a variety of books and materials can help the students have a better understanding of the world around them. My goal is also to provide the students with types of materials that will make them want to read on their own and also know that reading can help them with all learning skills.
What will be done with my students
Students will be provided with Scholastic Reading Magazines and a variety of good books. Students will be read to daily, materials will be used to complete research projects, and students will be able to utilize the magazines and books to learn about world news, people, and events that will enhance their learning.
Benefits to my students
Student's knowledge in different subject areas, overall learning, and enjoyment of reading will increase.

The cost will cover 5 second grade teachers.
