Goal
Spanish speakers as well as students in our Bridge to Biliteracy program need more options for bilingual and Spanish books in our media center. My goal is to add more books each year as the students in the program advance as readers. For the inaugural year of this program, 124 bilingual and Spanish books will be added to the collection.
What will be done with my students
Students will have amazing books to read thus increasing the amount of independent reading they will do. Students will have access to English and Spanish versions of the same texts.
Benefits to my students
Students will be able to read more fluently, enjoy their selected reading materials, increase their literacy skills, and developmental dual-language fluency.
Budget Narrative
124 library processed books will be ordered from Follett for a total of $1,902.79. Specific titles and prices are available as an excel file if needed.
