Goal
Teachers will be able to determine accurate reading level of students with an updated DRA assessment kit (3rd edition).
What will be done with my students
Teachers are expected to assess students to determine current reading level and areas of needed instruction. With current DRA 2 kits, published in 2006, most of the booklets students read are outdated. This can result in inaccurate reading levels. With accurate levels, teachers will be able to determine which areas students need the most instruction to move them forward.
Benefits to my students
Students will receive the instruction they need. This will help them to grow in reading, benefitting them in all academic areas. This kit can be shared with 4th grade and 5th grade teachers to help assess about 250 students per year.
