Goal

Our classroom goal is to have each of my students actively engaged when I am teaching. One way to achieve this is with the program Kahoot. This program allows me to differentiate instruction for each student and provide immediate feedback on students’ understanding of subject material. Also, this is an amazing tool to review and assess student learning. Finally, both whole group and individual game like interaction and learning comes to life in the Kahoot Game Zone!  

 

What will be done with my students

Due to my professional growth, I enjoy teaching Art at Oakridge Middle School 6-8th grade which includes 2D, 3D, and Art History. As a dual discipline educator, I plan on utilizing Kahoot across all grade levels fifth through eighth grade levels in all areas of concentration. Kahoot is a quiz-based learning platform that works for hybrid learning and flipped classroom situations by making learning fun, interactive, and engaging. The platform has “millions” of pre-made games that are created by experts and educators that can be customized to fit any learning environment. In addition, students will work on teams to learn and practice both social, and emotional teamwork skills to help guide students to appropriately engage with others during competitive competitions. This year I would like to continue my premium membership.
