Goal

To create morning bins for 5th graders to explore and create, allowing for a calm and mindful start to our day.

What will be done with my students

Each bin will be filled with a variety of exploratory STEM activities, such as K'Nex, Legos, SnapCircuits, etc. These bins will be used in the mornings prior to school starting, as well as when students have finished their work early.

Benefits to my students

These bins will provide a chance for students to use their creative STEM skills in a productive way. Students will be able to choose whichever bin they prefer and then put their science, math, and engineering skills to the test by completing different activities and challenges. This is a great opportunity for students to use their hands and learn through exploration.

Having these bins readily available for students to utilize in the morning (or when finished with their work), gives students the autonomy to learn and challenge their brain, all while having fun.
