Goal
The goal of these grant monies is to allow our students access to recess time utilizing dodge balls and basketballs, which will increase academic achievement, physical fitness, emotional intelligence, teamwork and stress management skills in all students.
What will be done with my students
Students at the middle school level will learn that exercise is beneficial to their health and well being as it increases heart rate and boosts mood and concentration. Students will have access to dodgeball and basketballs for collaborative game play after lunch twice a week.
Benefits to my students
Some of the areas in which students will benefit as they participate in recess are: personal responsibility, communication skills, leadership and collaboration.
Budget Narrative
The $783.90 grant would allow for purchase of 5 sets of basketballs and 5 sets of dodgeballs.
